Precautions during the use of an angle grinder
1. When starting the grinding wheel, the speed must stabilize for 40-60 seconds before grinding. When grinding the tool, it should stand on the side of the grinding wheel and not directly face the grinding wheel to prevent the grinding wheel from breaking and flying out, causing injury.
2. It is forbidden for two people to use the same grinding wheel at the same time, let alone grinding on the side of the grinding wheel. During grinding, the operator should stand on the side of the angle grinder, not on the front of the grinding machine, to prevent the grinding wheel from cracking and causing accidents. Gloves are also not allowed to be worn during operation, and it is strictly prohibited to operate around piles or laugh or play during grinding.
3. The standing position during grinding should be at an angle to the angle grinder, and the contact pressure should be uniform. It is strictly prohibited to hit the grinding wheel to avoid breakage. The grinding wheel is limited to grinding cutting tools and should not be used to grind heavy materials or thin iron plates, as well as soft materials (aluminum, copper, etc.) and wooden products.
When grinding the blade, the operator should stand on the side or inclined position of the grinding wheel, not on the front of the grinding wheel, and the tool should be slightly higher than the center position of the grinding wheel. Do not apply excessive force to prevent slipping and injuring hands.
5. The grinding wheel should not come into contact with water and should be kept dry regularly to prevent it from losing balance and causing accidents when wet.
6. It is not allowed to grind larger and longer objects on the angle grinder to prevent the grinding wheel from flying out and injuring people.
7. It is not allowed to grind the workpiece with one hand to prevent the grinding wheel from falling off and getting stuck in the protective cover.
Precautions after using an angle grinder
1. It is necessary to regularly adjust the grinding surface of the grinding wheel. When severe tool jumping is found, a diamond pen should be used for adjustment in a timely manner.
When the grinding wheel is thin, small, and severely worn during use, it should not be used and should be replaced in a timely manner to ensure safety.
3. After grinding, the power should be turned off to prevent the angle grinder from idling. At the same time, the dust inside the protective cover should be regularly removed, and the spindle lubricating grease should be regularly inspected and replaced.
